Oh, Kylie Jenner… what’s going on here? The beauty mogul, whose Lip Kits sell out within seconds, is trying to convince us that green lipstick is the colour du jour for the upcoming season. Hmmm, not sure about this one, Jenner! The 20-year-old, who has recently welcomed baby Stormi, is unleashing a load of new lip colours and has teased the shades on Instagram. We can see the usual colours; a fuchsia pink, a nude, a red, and an, um, green. And no, this wasn’t an April Fool’s Day joke. The shade is called Ironic Matte and will require major confidence to pull off such a quirky shade.

Fans rushed to comment on Kylie’s shade reveal, writing: “This reminds me of green camouflage or traditional military uniforms” and another said: “Shrek inspired this look.” Will Ironic Matte catch on? Only time will tell. The collection launches on 10 April.

The new shade has divided opinion online

Kylie’s beauty business, which she started late 2015, is one reason why she has been crowned as the richest within the Kardashian empire. Within 18 months, Kylie Cosmetics earned $420million in sales. Last year she became the youngest celebrity on Forbes 100 – a list of the 100 top-paid celebrities in the world.
