Exciting news Smashbox fans! The cult beauty brand has launched the most beautiful new makeup range in the US and it is due to hit UK stores this summer. The Petal Metal collection is centred around this season's trending shade, rose gold. We cannot wait. Details of the stunning range, which feature to-die-for highlighter compacts in an actual rose pattern, were released on the Smashbox Instagram page on Tuesday and fans are already going crazy for the products. The range was co-created with celebrity makeup artist and Smashbox’s lip editor-in-chief, Vlada Haggerty, who is known for her intricate lip art.

To be honest, we want the entire Petal Metal collection, but if we have to choose one piece, we'll line up for the Highlighter in Gilded Rose. The gel-powder highlighter gives a radiant rose gold glow and is said to stay put for 10 hours.

The Matte Liquid Lipstick is pretty stunning too and don't get us started on the eye shadow palette. Dreamy. Then there's the Swarovski eye liner jewels – amazing – liquid eyeliner, shimmer spray, primer and shimmer drops.

On makeup artist Vlada's Instagram page, she writes: "I'm so excited I can finally talk about this collection. We worked so hard on it for a year. I really hope you guys love it as much as we do." One fan posted on Smashbox's Instagram: "OH MY WOW," and a second posted, "Obsessed." We're a little obsessed too.
