Michelle Keegan appeared on the red carpet at the TV BAFTA awards on Sunday night alongside stars such as Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, looking absolutely stunning in a lemon yellow Susanne Neville dress featuring a corseted top and full skirt. But it wasn't just the gorgeous brunette’s outfit that turned heads – her golden glow and stunning fresh makeup were on point, too. And now the products used to get her summer-ready look have been revealed – and there’s one on the list that we weren’t expecting at all.
Her eye colour switch-up is subtle but so pretty
It seems the Our Girl star used coloured contact lenses to help her look extra glam on the big night. Michelle made the reveal when she posted a close up shot of her makeup look on her Instagram page, along with a caption thanking her "glam team" including her makeup artist, Krystal Dawn. Krystal then shared a similar snap of Michelle and tagged all the brands she had used to create her look, including Nars, Charlotte Tilbury – and MesmerEyes Coloured Contact Lenses, which cost £6.99 for a one-time-use pair.
Michelle naturally has dark brown eyes
Although Michelle has brown eyes, for her red carpet appearance she opted for 'Kensington Cream' coloured lenses. They're a light brown shade with a hint of gold. It's not the first time the 30-year-old has used this trick to give her looks extra va-va-voom, either – in February last year she donned a pair of bright blue contact lenses while attending the Brit awards. She wrote in her HELLO! blog at the time "I love being able to change my eye colour, the contacts don’t irritate my eyes or make them water, so long as you are careful putting them in, and of course, taking them out, then why the hell not!"

Other celebrities to have recently got on board with the trend include Kim Kardashian, who sported a pair of lighter brown lenses during the Met Gala in New York last week. Kim posted a close-up of her face on Instagram along with the caption: "New Obsession: Coloured Contact Lenses."
