I once met Duchess Meghan.
When I say 'met'… I don't mean, like, I met met her, but I kind of met her. I was at Soho Farmhouse lounging by the pool (as you do) when I realised her and Millie Mackintosh were taking snaps of each other just a couple of beds away from me.
This was before news broke that she was dating Prince Harry, and I was quite confused as to why she was on British soil, hanging out with Millie, but that's not the point.
I've been borderline obsessed with Meghan ever since I began watching Suits about four years ago – she is, in my humble opinion, one of the most stunning women I've ever laid eyes on. So I was intrigued/delighted to see her IRL. And yes, I can confirm, she is just as beautiful – if not more.
I've been so impressed with how she's handled herself since being thrust firmly into the spotlight, and I'm also a huge fan (have I told you how much I love her yet?) of how she's chosen to present herself. Instead of opting for heavy, camera-ready make-up, she's really championed a natural look and it's so refreshing.
The royal looked sported a fresh-faced, natural glow
Check out her look from Royal Ascot yesterday – she was a true fresh-faced beauty. Rather than heavy foundation, I reckon she's used a tinted moisturiser or maybe just a BB cream to add a sheer veil of coverage. She appears to have steered clear of contour and simply warmed the complexion with bronzer (my top bronzer pick? The Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Brozning Powder, £52), and added a natural gloss to the lips.
My top bronzer pick, from Rodial
The eyes are slightly heavier – smudged lower-lash eyeliner and a lick of mascara perfectly offset the dramatic Philip Treacy hat.
Sidenote: LOVED the Givenchy dress, too. On the hunt for a good dupe – hit me up @alexlight_ldn.
