Anyone else notice Duchess Meghan's rather glamorous makeup look this week? The new royal surprised us by wearing a new beauty product at the Queen's Young Leaders Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. Until now, the former actress has stuck to a natural look of a nude lip, minimal blush and a sweep of mascara and eyeshadow. Duchess Kate, meanwhile, is known for showcasing a fuller coverage makeup-wise and it appears Meghan is mirroring her sister-in-law's look. The new product in question is our favourite beauty friend, the highlighter!
Yes, the Duchess of Sussex went against royal protocol which stipulates understated makeup and added a bold sweep of highlighter to accentuate her cheekbones. Meghan, we love it.
Twitter page Meghan Markle Style has guessed the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat highlighter. Perhaps because she's a royal, she opted for Becca's bronzed shade, called, yep, you've guessed it: 'Royal Glow'.
The 'Royal Glow' highlighter
The royal attended the event with her husband Prince Harry, and all eyes were on the newlyweds as they chatted to guests at the event. Meghan's shimmering cheeks looked fabulous alongside her blush pink Prada outfit. The Duchess was wearing noticeably more makeup, with fuller lashes than normal, a pretty lip gloss and that new wow product, the cheek highlighter. The beauty essential is a key item in one's makeup bag for achieving a strong, youthful look. We're totally in awe of Meghan's glossy down hair look too.

This look is in contrast to Meghan's Ascot makeup, where we saw her famous freckles on show with a subtle sweep of bronzer. On that occasion, the Duchess kept her eye makeup simple and didn't appear to wear lip gloss as she did at her recent appearance at the palace.
