No other celebrity has had as great an impact on beauty trends over the past ten years as Kim Kardashian West. So when we hear her makeup artist has revealed the steps he takes to achieve her flawless glowing skin, it's safe to say that we sit up and pay attention. Patrick Ta is one of the most in-demand makeup gurus in Hollywood, and regularly works with the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Gigi Hadid, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and, of course, KKW. The mum-of-three recently re-posted a video on her app in which Patrick reveals his 11-step guide to the perfect face – and we were particularly interested to learn which foundation he uses on his A-list clients.

Patrick revealed his go-to is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, which he applies using a damp beautyblender. To get the look as natural as possible, he brings the product down into the neck to avoid a 'floating face' effect and also applies it over the eyelids. He also revealed he uses a Morphe G17 brush to lightly buff the product into the under-eye area.

This foundation is on the pricier end of the market at £35 per bottle, but it's described as a light to medium dewy coverage that can be built up as needed. It's also a favourte of none other than Meghan Markle – her former makeup artist Lydia F. Sellers told Refinery29 that she used the product on the Duchess of Sussex, also with a beautyblender, "because it's really easy to sheer out".

Other products mentioned by Patrick in the video include Ren 3-in-1 cleansing water and Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Serum to smooth and plump the skin ready for the foundation to be applied, and two concealers – Kyrolan Camouflage Creme and Make Up For Ever Life Concealer – which he applies under the eyes and in the middle of the forehead, nose, chin and cupid's bow for some subtle highlighting and sculpting.
