The Duchess of Sussex looked incredible in London on January 16 when she attended Cirque du Soleil’s premiere of TOTEM at the Royal Albert Hall with her husband Prince Harry. Meghan, who is six months pregnant with her first child, was radiant in a navy sequinned dress by Roland Mouret. The former actress always likes to surprise us with her look, and this time she wowed fans with a stunning new lip colour: a deep pinky-red, which complemented her outfit perfectly.

What's the fuss, you might think? Well, since Meghan joined the royal family, we've only seen the former actress in nude lipstick shades. So Meghan choosing a dark lippy is kind of a big deal; it shows she's found her footing in the prestigious family and has the confidence to choose her own beauty look.

At her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018, Meghan wore a barely-there lip hue to say her vows and was beautiful with the natural look. Since then the new royal has stuck to nude lipsticks.

However, back in her Suits days, the mum-to-be loved a bold lip colour – just look at this snap of her at ELLE's 6th Annual Women in Television Dinner in January 2016. Her red lip shade is gorgeous and very similar to her latest lip shade!

We can't recall a single time Duchess Kate has worn a lipstick so bold. She's more a fan of lighter coral hues. Could this be one way Meghan stands apart from Kate in their fashion face-off? Stick to the bold lippy Meghan – we love it!
