July 24, 2013

As Kate Middleton settles into her new role as a royal mum, HELLO! Online rounds up some of the most inspiring celebrity reactions to motherhood over the past year. "Everyone says it's the best thing and it really is! I was torn leaving her this morning. It's the first time I've left her properly, but I'm rushing home after this!" Rochelle Humes gushes about motherhood following the birth of daughter Alaia-Mai in May 2013."These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life. I'm enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family." Kim Kardashian reflects on the birth of her daughter North in June 2013.

"It takes some adjusting, but it is so, so wonderful. My son is so beautiful, I love him so much. But before you have children, you have got to make sure you've got a great man." Model Giselle Bundchen talks about becoming a mother after the birth of daughter Vivian in December 2012, and reflects on the birth of her first child Benjamin in 2009.

"She wanted to know how she was going to feel in that moment and what it would be like when you meet your baby for the very first time. And I was talking to Jim, my husband, and I said, 'Can you imagine describing that moment of pure joy that happens when your child is in your arms for the very first time? I mean, what are the words?!'" Reese Witherspoon recalls how a mother-to-be asked her for advice following the birth of her son Tennessee James in September 2012.

"My favourite thing about being a mom is just what a better person it makes you on a daily basis. Every morning when I wake her up, the endgame is, can I get her to smile? And that puts me in a good mood. It's definitely a different way to live — and a much better one." Drew Barrymore talks about the joys of being a mother following the birth of her daughter Olive in September 2012."Every single day, it seems like there's a new face that they're making. He started to smile about a week ago, and that's the coolest experience. It's all good." Hilary Duff talks about how exciting it is to be a mother to baby Luca, born in March 2012, on a daily basis.
