Amir Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom debuts tiny baby bump

Excited parents-to-be Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom stepped out at the weekend – marking their event appearance since sharing the wonderful news they're starting a family. As they posed on the red carpet at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards there was just the hint of the beginnings of a baby bump under Faryal's ethereal white gown.

Boxing champ Amir, 26, beamed with pride as he arrived at the Leeds Arena on Sunday night with his beautiful wife. The 21-year-old, American political science student had updated her look with a fringe. The couple shared their baby joy at the end of October, five months after they tied the knot ."Mommy in the making, thank you everyone for the well wishes. All your comments/duwas have made my day," wrote Faryal. Amir was also quick to show his excitement, tweeting, "Faryal & I are delighted to announce we're having a baby - can't wait! Thanks to our friends and family for all the support."

"It's still early days but we're both very excited and can't wait to be parents," added the former two-time world champion, speaking to The Sun on Sunday.

HELLO! attended the couple's knock out New York wedding which took place in May at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel after a week-long elaborate Muslim ceremony. At the time of their May wedding, Amir said he was looking forward to settling down and starting a family. "I've lived the young life, I've done everything I've wanted to do," the boxer told HELLO! "Now is the right time to settle down and start my own family.""I've got to look after Faryal, so I won't be going out as much partying with my friends. "I don't want that anymore - I want to do the family thing. I think I'll change as a person when I'm married and it'll be a big plus for me, I'll be able to be more focused on my job too."
