Michael Jordan apparently has double the reason to celebrate – after reports he is expecting identical twin girls with his wife Yvette Prieto.
According to unconfirmed reports in the US, the basketball legend and his wife of eight months are starting their family with a double arrival, though it's not known when the twins are due.
Michael is already father to three children, from his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy. Marcus, Jasmine and Jeffrey are all in their 20s.
The 50-year-old sportsman confirmed in November that he was preparing to be a father again. But no other details have been released about Yvette's pregnancy.
Michael and Yvette – a 34-year-old Cuban-American model – married in April during a lavish Florida ceremony attended by 300 guests including Tiger Woods, singers Usher and Robin Thicke, and director Spike Lee.
The couple said their vows at Palm Beach's picturesque Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea and celebrated afterwards at exclusive golf club The Bear's Club.
Over 1,500 guests partied the night away at the reception, which was held in a specially built 400,000 square foot marquee.
"He wanted to give Yvette everything she wanted," a source told US publication People shortly after the wedding.
Michael asked Yvette to marry him over Christmas in 2011. They had been dating for three years after meeting in a Miami nightclub.
The basketball icon divorced his first wife in 2006 after 16 years of marriage.
