Strolling hand-in-hand along the beach with his pregnant girlfriend, Simon Cowell looks on top of the world. The music mogul is currently enjoying a Barbados 'babymoon' – a last pre-baby holiday taken by parents-to-be before the big arrival – with Lauren Silverman, who is due to give birth to the couple's son in February.

The couple were the picture of contentment as they paced the white sandy shore. And in a real indicator of how much he is looking forward to being a daddy, Simon made a beeline for a cute little toddler he spotted on the beach. As Lauren looked on with a smile, the man who once completely ruled out having kids, saying: "I'd go nuts", asked if he could hold the baby. The cute tot's mum obliged, and Simon had a cuddle – getting some practice in for when his own little one arrives. At one point the X Factor boss also bought some art from a man selling pictures on the beach before posing for photos with Lauren with some fellow holiday makers who asked for a snap.Lauren, 36, dressed her blossoming bump in a flattering black strapless swimsuit – which she accessorised with a matching sarong. And like her partner she wore a pair of aviator glasses to shield her eyes from the Caribbean sun.

Every year, Simon spends the festive season in Barbados. This year he spent Christmas with his ex girlfriend Sinitta and her two children, whom he invited out to visit him.The former partners are said to have patched up their friendship after falling out this year when Sinitta revealed she had terminated Simon's baby when they were both younger. American socialite Lauren flew in to join Simon after spending December 25 with her nine-year-old son Adam in the States.
