Actress Thandie Newton has welcomed her third child via a very private home birth and shared the happy news with over 6,000 followers on Twitter. The 41-year-old star – who has been married to Ol Parker since 1998 - welcomed a son named Booker Jombe Parker, exclaiming the addition to her family on the micro—blogging website on Tuesday.Explaining that their little bundle of joy came into the world on Monday she posted: “Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday.” Thandie revealed more details about giving birth on Wednesday, thanking her child birth assistants Phoenix Midwives for being by her side and making the experience a great one.

“My 3rd home birth with brilliant independent midwife Caroline Flint - and Carole Goddard @PhoenixMidwives. Keep independent midwifery alive!” she added. Their Twitter biography describes them as “a group of Independent Midwives who believe in a woman's ability to give birth naturally, given the right encouragement and support but minimum interference.”Thandie shared that she was spending the days after becoming a mother yet again relaxing and was getting by with the help of Neal’s Yard Remedies, for her and baby’s wellbeing. Her spouse, Ol, also shared that his family had expanded on Tuesday. The writer behind films such as Marigold Hotel and Now is Good, wrote on Twitter: “We had a baby, that's a beautiful thing. He's called Booker, and while he doesn't do much yet, I suspect him to be awesome.”
