Ginnifer Goodwin and her husband Josh Dallas have welcomed their first child together. Representatives for the couple have confirmed that Ginnifer gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Thursday 29 May, just over a month after she married her co-star Josh in a secret ceremony. "Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas welcomed a baby boy yesterday, May 29," read a statement released on Friday. "This is their first child.

Both mom and baby are doing great.

Despite being an avid user of Twitter, Ginnifer has understandably kept quiet on the social media website and the name of her newborn is not yet known.

Once Upon A Time stars Ginnifer and Josh, 32, announced that they were expecting a baby in November 2013, a month after they got engaged and two years after they started dating.Rumours had circulated that the 36-year-old was pregnant when she was photographed concealing her bump with a bulky grey coat a few weeks previously. The news was clearly thrilling for the Memphis-born actress, who had made no secret of her desire to start a family.

"I'm 35, so I'm already thinking about that," she previously said. "If it happened right now, I would absolutely have a baby. "The only issue I have with ageing is nothing to do with my career," added Ginnifer. "It's that I want to have a lot of kids before I'm physically unable to do so."

In October 2013, Ginnifer and Josh revealed their plans to marry. "We are so thrilled to announce our engagement," they said in a statement. "We can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at Once Upon A Time. "Having met on the set of the hit TV show, Josh and Ginnifer went public with their romance in March 2012.

"It hit me like a blinding light," said Kentucky-born Josh of his first encounter with Ginnifer. "I thought, 'I'm in trouble now.' " It's definitely a plus that we get to spend so much time together," he added of their joint work commitment. "I think it adds something; it adds a different dynamic to the characters that we're playing that we can bring to it."
