HELLO! exclusive: Tamara Beckwith shares her surprise pregnancy news

August 4, 2014

Tamara Beckwith has revealed all about her surprise pregnancy at the age of 44 in an exclusive interview and photoshoot with HELLO! magazine. The society gallery owner is expecting her first son with husband Giorgio Veroni – and the baby will be 27 years younger than her eldest daughter, Anouska.

"When you've been lucky to have two gorgeous girls, I think you should just be grateful," Tamara, who also has five-year-old daughter Vivi with 42-year-old Giorgio, told HELLO! "I would never have had IVF, so I thought that was that. "Tamara also reveals that she suffered two miscarriages before falling pregnant again – but she kept them quiet as her mother was ill with womb cancer at the time. " I didn't make it into a big thing because of mummy's illness," she said. "I am quite matter-of-fact about those things; what will be will be. I had my eggs looked at and the doctor told me if I really wanted to have a baby I needed to do it properly, but I'm just not one of those girls who could get it together with a chart and an ovulation stick. "Tamara's beloved mother Paula passed away in 2011 at the age of 68 – and she revealed her daughter Anouska thinks the new baby is a gift from her. "She was like, 'It's a gift from nanny,' because mummy's birthday was in November and the baby's due date is 5 November, although they don't let you go full term at my age. Noushy was adamant it was the best thing for us. "In the interview, Tamara also speaks for the first time about her property magnate father Peter's new wife, Vivien McLean. "Daddy is so happy and she is so super with him," she says. "He looks like he has lost ten years. She is gregarious, organised and a doer."
