Wales-born Christian didn’t respond to the rumours at the time, but later that month the pair confirmed the joyous news. "They are truly a supportive couple, he [Christian] and Sibi are thrilled," a source told Us Weekly. "She's been travelling with him while he's been touring around for American Hustle."

While Christian likes to keep his private life just that, he has spoken about his happy home life over the years. Speaking to The Insider in 2009, the doting dad and husband said: "It's all about my girls, my wife and my daughter. "The actor, who won an Oscar for his role in The Fighter, continued: "I carry a picture of them with me all the time. "He has also opened up about fatherhood, saying that being a father is "the best thing ever".

He said in 2012: "Nothing can prepare you for fatherhood. It's the best thing ever. I don't want to leave my daughter's side for one second." The star, who married Sibi in 2000, never planned to tie the knot after watching his loved ones go through a bitter divorce when he was younger.

He explained previously: "I never planned to marry. Everyone was divorced in my family so I didn't have very healthy ideas about marriage. Then I met Sibi and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea."
