Kevin Rahm has become a father for the first time. The Mad Men star, 43, presented his beautiful newborn girl to the world with a photo on Twitter. "My new favorite Human. Thank you @UCDavisChildren for your amazing staff and excellent care," wrote Kevin alongside the snap, taken from the Sacramento, California hospital.
In the picture, the proud dad is seen cradling his daughter and planting a gentle kiss on her forehead as she sleeps peacefully in his arms, swaddled in a white blanket and wearing a pale pink hat. The small-screen actor received a flurry of congratulations from his 9.3million followers, retweeting and responding to several posts. Kevin – who plays the character Ted Chaough on the advertising agency drama – married his cardiothoracic surgeon wife Amy Lonkar in Burbank, California in 2012.
The actor announced in April that he and Amy were expecting their first child with the message, "Oh yeah... This is happening." Again taking to Twitter, Kevin posted a movie-style poster announcement of himself and Amy embracing, with the words: "Amy Rahm 'The Surgeon' and Kevin Rahm 'The Actor' Starring together in It's a Girl! Coming this September" written down the left. The new dad is also best known for his role as Lee McDermott on Desperate Housewives and Kyle McCarty on Judging Amy.
