Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne show off first baby scan and tease sex of the baby

October 2, 2014

Jacqueline Jossa and her partner Dan Osborne have revealed their first baby scan on social media site Instagram.

The scan was positioned in front of what looks to be a baby reveal cake, a popular style of cake offered at baby showers.

The inside of the cake is dyed blue or pink to indicate the gender of the baby, and Jacqueline and Dan kept fans guessing to the sex of the baby by filtering their snap to black and white so the sponge is neutral.

The Only Way Is Essex star Dan, 23, and EastEnders actress Jacqueline, 21, revealed they were expecting their first child together in August and said in a joint statement that they were "thrilled by our news".

Dan - who welcomed son Teddy in December with ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin - added, "Becoming a father has been the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. I can't believe I'm going to be a dad again – I'm truly blessed."

A spokesperson for EastEnders also offered their congratulations to the mum-to-be. "Everyone at EastEnders is thrilled for Jacqueline," the rep said.

Jacqueline and Dan have been dating on-and-off for the past year; the actress confirmed their romance was back on in June when she shared a picture of the pair cuddling up on her Instagram page.

The actress, who plays Lauren Branning in the BBC soap, was on Wednesday crowned the sexiest soap female at the Inside Soap Awards.

Jacqueline was not at the event but revealed: "It's quite nice to have that kind of label considering I'm pregnant, it's fabulous. I think this has been my favourite year at EastEnders, it's been really, really fun," added the star.

"It's been nice to be a part of it all – it's a nice feeling. And there's so much exciting stuff coming up."
