October 30, 2014

Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field have announced the name of their newborn baby son on Twitter. Having kept fans updated with live tweeting and videos throughout Ayda's labour, Robbie posted a final lighthearted video in the early hours of Friday morning, which revealed the Little one's chosen name as Charlton Valentine Williams.

"Charlton Valentine Williams has left the building...and Daddy is doing just fine. RW x," tweeted the second-time dad.

The latest video, that the star shared on YouTube, shows new mum Ayda pushing a wheelchair down the hospital corridor. The arm of the person seated in the wheelchair then comes out, signalling to turn right, before viewers see it is Robbie. Wearing sunglasses and a dressing gown, he is holding the baby, who is not visible to fans.

Ayda then lets out a mock sigh before continuing to push her hubby down the corridor.

Robbie announced the arrival of the couple's baby son on Monday, via a video filmed on Ayda's US hospital bed.

"Erm, so, he's here," the former Take That star says. "It's ten past three on what day? Monday? And we've been up way over 24 hours. I've never been more in love and I've never been more proud of my wife, she's been absolutely astonishing.

"It's been a very emotional, amazing few hours and we're really happy and honoured that you experienced the journey with us."

"Er baby bud isn't having a name yet, we're still figuring it out. He's 8lb1oz," to which Ayda says "two ounces babe, every ounce counts. "The new arrival is the second child for Robbie and his American actress wife – the pair already have a two-year-old daughter called Theodora, known affectionately as Teddy.
