New year, new baby for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The couple welcomed their first child together in December, according to the New York Post's Page Six. Blake, 27, gave birth near their home in Bedford over the holidays. Although the little one came ahead of schedule, both mother and baby are said to be doing well. "The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy," a source told US Weekly. "The Bedford house is all prepared. They're going to stay up there for the baby's first days."

Blake announced her pregnancy on her lifestyle website Preserve, and soon after started showcasing her maternity style in a series of outfits that emphasised her blossoming tummy.
Both Blake and Ryan have spoken of their excitement at the prospect of becoming parents. "I'm good with diapers and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I've done it all before," Ryan, 38, recently said. "I'm just excited about having a buddy." Blake has echoed his sentiments. "I came from a big family, a big family of Southerners," the former Gossip Girl star revealed. "I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me, but I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip, so I've kinda always been a mama."
