Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are the proud parents of a baby girl named Violet, it had been reported. The happy couple received an early Christmas present when their firstborn made an appearance in late December, when Blake gave birth at the Westchester Medical Centre near their home in Bedford, New York. As fans waited to hear further details about the newborn, a tweet from a user claiming to work at the centre – yet to be verified – let slip the baby girl's name. The message from @kimbanksy read: "Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care."
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds reportedly welcomed a daughter named Violet
Blake, 27, and Ryan are yet to make an announcement, but a family member confirmed to E! News that their little bundle of joy is indeed a girl.
"They're all doing really well," the insider said. "They're obviously loving being new parents."
Just two months ago, Ryan confirmed that the couple had chosen not to find out the sex of their baby.
"I'm just excited to have a buddy," he told People. "We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but whatever it is, you have this tether to reality that never goes away."
Actress Blake previously told US Weekly that being a mother was something she had "always wanted ever since I was a little girl".
She added, "I knew I wanted to have lots of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here."
