Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo welcome their 'sweet, beautiful baby girl'

Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Minnillo already have much to celebrate in 2015; the happy couple have welcomed their baby daughter. Proud mummy Vanessa, who also has a son Camden, two, with her husband, announced the news on her official website on 6 January. "She's HERE!!! Nick, Camden and I are SO excited to announce the birth of our sweet, beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey!" she wrote. "She was born on January 5th, 2015 at 5:17pm. She weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces, is 21 inches long and has already won over all of our hearts."

Vanessa, 34, continued, "I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl. A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it's the day I would meet my best friend. "I can't begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time. Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn! Thank you to everyone for your love and support, it means so much to our family. Xx, The Lacheys."

It was singer Nick was made the happy announcement that the couple were expecting their second child. "Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this! #family," the 41-year-old captioned a photo posted on twitter in July of 'It's a girl' written in the sand. Vanessa and Nick have been married since July 2011, when they tied the knot on Richard Branson's Necker Island. Their son Camden John Lacey was born in September 2012. Nick was previously married to Jessica Simpson, from October 2002 until November 2005.
