Christina Aguilera has opened up about life as a new mother, and said she feels "very blessed" to have her five-month-old daughter Summer Rain. The 34-year-old welcomed the baby girl with her fiancé Matthew Rutler in August, and is besotted with the new addition to their family.
"I have a chill baby, she's just so calm and so easy to make laugh and smile, she's just a breeze, thank God," she told Extra. "She's just so beautiful, these big blue eyes, she's just so gorg… very happy and feel very blessed having Summer Rain in my life."
The singer, who also has a seven-year-old son Max from her marriage to Jordan Bratman, said that Summer has won over the affection of her big brother.
"He's just so endearing and sweet to her. He's in school, he's seven, there's a little age gap. But it's perfect though, because then they don't fight over toys. He's the big helper and the big teacher, so he's awesome," Christina said.
"He's just so loving and sweet. I'm like, 'How old are you?' He's like a grandma to her, he's just like, 'I'll teach you everything.'"
The proud mother shared the first photo of her daughter on Twitter in January. The photo shows the little girl wearing a hot pink dress and a white frilled nappy with 'Lil Diva' embroidered on the back.
"Watch out… another one's getting ready to conquer the world! #driven #diva2," Christina captioned the picture.
After some time out of the spotlight with her family, Christina revealed that she is gearing up to return to work with an appearance as a judge on The Voice in America and the release of new music. The 34-year-old revealed that she is excited to share the new music.
"It's genuine and it's heartfelt and I'm very excited to pour my heart out into this record fully. I've been gathering and writing and coming up with these amazing ideas for different parts of how I was feeling for the past year, so I'm really excited to vocalise all of it and make it all come together," she said.
