Shakira has revealed a glimpse of her newborn baby son Sasha Piqué Mebarak, who was born just days ago on Thursday 29 January. The Colombian pop princess posted a photograph of her six-day-old's tiny left foot on Instagram – fitting for the son of a famous footballer. She wrote alongside the snap, which shows Sasha's tiny little pink toes and the white hospital band still wrapped around his ankle: "I have Daddy's feet, it looks like I've been playing football my whole life", in English and in her mother tongue, Spanish.

Shakira and her footballer love Gerard Piqué welcomed their second son at Teknon Clinic in Barcelona, the city where the couple have lived for the past few years. Shakira underwent a scheduled Caesarean section. Shortly after the little bundle of joy's birth his name was revealed by his proud grandfather Amador Bernabéu. He told reporters: "He's called Sasha, which is Alexander in Russian."
Shakira later revealed on her website that "the name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means 'defender of mankind' and 'warrior'." The brief statement also revealed that both mother and child were in excellent health. The stunning singer has previously spoken out of her desire to have a big family. "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard — My own [soccer] team," the Hips Don’t Lie singer told the Latina magazine, according to Us Weekly.
