Mark-Paul Gosselaar becomes a father of four: 'Two boys, two girls, too perfect'

February 19, 2015

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is a proud father of four! The Saved By The Bell star and his wife Catriona McGinn welcomed a new addition to their family on 17 February, a baby girl named Lachlyn Hope. "So in love with our new baby girl," Mark, 40, tweeted on Wednesday. "Mum and baby are healthy and happy. 2 boys, 2 girls, too perfect!" Mark-Paul later posted the very first photo of little Lachlyn, showing her curled up asleep under a pink and white blanket and wearing a cute pink hat. "She's a 'mouth-breather' like her Daddy," he wrote alongside. "My sweet little angel."

Lachyln is Mark-Paul's second child with wife Catriona, with who he has a 16-month-old son Dekker Edward. The actor is also a father to daughter Ava Lorenn, eight, and son Michael Charles, 10, from his previous 14-year marriage to former model Lisa Ann Russell. Although the couple decided not to make an official announcement, Catriona's pregnancy was apparent when she showed off her baby bump at a Disney event back in December.

"It's something we're really excited about and we've been planning for a while," Mark-Paul told People at the time. "I love big families. There's nothing better than a happy child." The actor currently has a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation – but is best known for playing Zack Morris in the hit TV show Saved By The Bell, which ran from 1989 to 1993.

Just last week, he reprised his role for a special Saved By The Bell reunion on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Coincidentally, Mark-Paul's former co-star Tiffani Thiessen, who is already a mum to four-year-old Harper, showed off a baby bump on the sketch, following the announcement in January that she had a second child on the way with husband Brady Smith.
