Suzanne Shaw makes adorable pregnancy announcement: see the sweet video

March 4, 2015

Suzanne Shaw and her fiancé Sam Greenfield are expecting their first baby together. The former Hear'Say star announced her pregnancy in a very sweet video that shows her breaking the happy news to Sam and her 10-year-old son Corey. Suzanne, 33, revealed her baby joy to her partner of two years as part of a special Valentine's Day surprise. She can be seen presenting him with a cryptic poem about being pregnant – which he had to read aloud – before asking him to open a box that contains a positive pregnancy test. As he realises what's in front of him, teary-eyed Sam clasps his hands over his face before grabbing Suzanne for a big cuddle.

Suzanne then films the happy couple telling Corey their news. The little boy – Suzanne's son with ex-boyfriend Darren Day – reads aloud a special poem, before finally realising that he is going to have a little brother or a sister. Clearly stunned, Corey is unsure how to react to the big announcement at first, and is filmed lying face down on the sofa. "This is shocking," he says on camera. "This is weird. Another brother or sister? Is it in there?" he asks, pointing to his mum's tummy.

Suzanne and Sam's baby news comes nine months after the couple got engaged. Sam popped the question after one year of dating – and Suzanne happily accepted. Speaking about the baby announcement video, former Emmerdale actress Suzanne said, "Sam and I are delighted to be expanding our family. I wanted to make the big reveal extra special for both Sam and Corey so I decided to video the occasion. "We're all over the moon and can't wait to meet him or her when they arrive in October. It was definitely an extra special Valentine's Day for us!"
