Cheryl Fernandez-Versini helps Kimberley Walsh to celebrate her first Mother's Day with sweet snap of baby Bobby

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini helped her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh to celebrate her first Mother's Day on Sunday. The singer shared a sweet snap of her friend's son Bobby, telling her fans she was due some "serious snuggles".

The image showed the six-month-old baby attempting to crawl while he gazed inquisitively at the camera. The adorable youngster was dressed in a grey hoodie with matching joggers, and showed off a head of curly hair.

"I'm due some serious snuggles @kimberleywalshofficial. look at him #Bobs #littleman #HappyMothersDayKimba", Cheryl captioned the image.

The 31-year-old also wished her friend a happy Mother's Day on Twitter, praising her for being an "amazing" mother.

"@KimberleyJWalsh Happy 1st Mothers Day!! You are a natural, beautiful amazing first time mother and I am so proud of you!" she tweeted.

New mum Kimberley welcomed Bobby, her first child with fiancé Justin Scott in September. The 33-year-old is clearly enjoying motherhood and shared a picture of her own on the social messaging site to commemorate her first Mother's Day.

"Had a lovely first Mother's Day hope all you mum's out there did too" she captioned the black and white picture, which showed her cradling her baby boy.

It was the first picture both Kimberley had posted of the youngster, and fans were quick to comment wishing the singer a happy Mother's Day and telling her: "This is just beautiful!!!!" and "He's so gorgeous".

Cheryl also took the opportunity to thank her own mother by sharing a sweet childhood snap of herself as a young girl in the company of her family.

The singer captioned the image: "#HappyMothersDay to my Mother and best friend. You have one of the kindest hearts in the world are are the most selfless person I have the pleasure of knowing. I Love you."
