Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake welcome their first child

After two years of marriage Justin Timberlake and Jessica Timberlake have some exciting news to share – the actress has had their first baby.

The couple are now proud parents to son Silas Randall Timberlake, their reps confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively.

Representatives for the new parents also confirmed that mother and baby are doing well and dad Justin is "ecstatic."

The couple kept the pregnancy under wraps until well into the screen beauty's second trimester. For a time Jessica stayed out from the spotlight, attending no public events for about six months.

Justin was very protective of his wife's privacy but just after his 34th birthday he posted a picture of himself kissing her pregnant belly. "Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes!" he wrote to his seven million followers. "This year, I'm getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN'T WAIT."

The couple married in Italy two years ago

When it was her 33rd birthday on 3 March, Justin showed just how much he loved her with a sweet message on Instagram. He wrote: "Happy Bday to the sweetest, most GORGEOUS, goofiest, most BAD-ASS chick I know. You make me smile 'til it hurts. I love you like crazy! --Your Huz."The Hollywood sweethearts have been together since 2007. After a brief split in 2011, Justin proposed while on holiday in December of that year.Their wedding was a dreamy Italian affair, with Jessica wearing a petal pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown.Her husband said seeing her walk down the aisle was, "the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." While Jessica said she wanted the dress to be, "romance, romance, romance. Kind of whimsical and dramatic".
