Mum-to-be Rebecca Adlington shows off her baby's nursery

May 7, 2015

Rebecca Adlington is all prepared for her baby daughter's arrival. The gold medallist showed off the baby's completed nursery on YouTube, and revealed that now all she needs is for her little one to arrive.

In the 90 second video, Rebecca proudly shows off her daughter's room and gives a glimpse at some of the clothes they have bought ahead of her arrival – including her very first swimming costume.

"We had to. We can't wait to take her in the pool, so that's exciting," Rebecca revealed.

As well as having a cot ready assembled in the room, the former Olympian also said that she has her hospital bags packed and "ready to go" for when she goes into labour.

"Now all we need is her. We need her to come out," the 26-year-old said as she pointed to her bump. "We're just so excited now that the house is finally done. We've only got four weeks left of the pregnancy so hopefully it will go nice and smooth and now we just can't wait to meet her. We're super excited."

Rebecca announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Harry Needs in an exclusive interview with HELLO! magazine.

"The due date is 4 June so, yes, we must have conceived on the first day of our honeymoon in Venice," she revealed.

The couple, who are both swimmers, also admitted that they are considering a water birth for their baby's arrival.

"A water birth would be top of the list," the mum-to-be said. "A few friends have recommended it. I would like the birth to be as natural as possible, but you can't really plan it, can you?"

Rebecca has been keeping her fans updated with pictures and videos throughout her pregnancy, and recently reflected on her wedding by sharing a video of highlights from the day on social media.
