Laura Hamilton introduces baby daughter and reveals name to HELLO!

June 8, 2015

Laura Hamilton has introduced her newborn baby daughter Tahlia in an exclusive interview and photoshoot with HELLO! magazine – and opened up about the "traumatic" birth. The TV presenter and her husband Alex Goward became parents for a second time on 8 May when they welcomed their little girl into the world.

Tahlia, a sister to 18-month-old son Rocco, was born a month ago, weighing in at 7lbs 3oz. And by having two children under the age of two, Laura is following in the footsteps of the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton.

"This time I was pregnant at almost exactly the same time as the Duchess of Cambridge, although they have a 21-month gap between their children and we have only 18 months," said Laura.

"She looked so amazing when she came out of hospital. I wish I'd looked like that," added the blonde beauty. "After a traumatic birth, there was no way I could leave hospital hours later looking so immaculate."

In the interview, Laura, 33, also revealed how she went into labour one week before her planned Caesarian, and had to let her work colleagues know.

"I won't be in today because I had a baby this morning!" she said.

When Rocco was born she took just five weeks off before taking place in reality show The Jump. This time around she tells how she is back to work in super fast time too, filming for A Place in the Sun.

"I find it very difficult to switch off," said the HELLO! Online blogger. "That doesn't mean my family isn't everything to me – I'm very lucky that I can take them with me – I just want to enjoy it for as long as it lasts."
