Helen Flanagan has given birth to her first baby, according to several reports. The former Coronation Street actress was almost two weeks overdue when doctors decided to induce her.

Helen and her long-term boyfriend Scott Sinclair welcomed their little arrival on Monday in Birmingham, although it is not yet known whether the baby is a boy or a girl.

The couple had decided to keep the sex of their baby a secret and last month Helen threw a gender-neutral baby shower.

"Helen gave birth on Monday in Birmingham and she is still there recovering," an insider told The Sun. "It is hoped that she'll be back home in a day or so. It is very exciting for them and both of their families."

The friend of the couple added: "Helen was hoping to have the baby naturally, but the doctors decided it was best to induce. She is exhausted but doing well."

The 24-year-old model and actress was expecting to give birth in mid-June, and on her due date, Helen shared a photo on Instagram of herself and Scott eagerly awaiting their baby's arrival. "Due date walk this evening," she wrote alongside the snap.

The brunette stunner, who lives in Birmingham as her footballer boyfriend plays for Aston Villa, also posted another photo of the lovebirds playing Monopoly, with the hashtag "waitingforbaby".

Her last photo was uploaded five days ago, when Helen, who had a beautiful pregnancy glow about her, was 41 weeks.

She and Scott announced that they were expecting their first child last December, and at the time Helen tweeted that they were both so "excited and happy". The couple have been together for six years.
