After welcoming her baby daughter Summer just over a month ago, Rebecca Adlington has been embracing motherhood to the full. The Olympic champion, who is called Becky by her family and friends, has shared the cutest photo on Instagram.
Cradling her newborn in her arms, Becky was pictured affectionately gazing down at her daughter, who looked to be fast asleep. Little Summer was dressed in a sweet pink outfit and wrapped up with a matching pale pink blanket.
The mother-daughter duo were joined by their four-legged friend – Becky and her husband Harry Needs' adorable white pooch.
Becky Adlington said giving birth was "the most rewarding" thing she's ever done
"I think my dog thinks she's my baby too!! Cuddle time #love #dogs #baby #cuddles," joked Becky.
Over the weekend the 26-year-old shared a gorgeous family photo on Instagram – and the first social media snap she had posted of baby Summer. "What Sundays are all about #family #love @harryneeds," Becky wrote.

Her husband Harry, who she married last summer in a wedding exclusively covered by HELLO! magazine, also posted a cute snap of himself and the newborn lying down next to each other.
"A Sunday well spent brings a week of content #summerlovin #familyday," the personal trainer captioned the photo.
The couple named their daughter Summer after their favourite time of the year
Becky and Harry welcomed their first child on 8 June, four days after the professional swimmer's due date. The new mum admitted that giving birth was the hardest thing she has gone through – and much more difficult than winning her Olympic gold medals.
"It was the most painful thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding," Becky told HELLO! magazine in an exclusive interview to introduce her baby daughter. "Winning medals doesn't really make a difference to real life but bringing a new child into the world is without a doubt our greatest achievement."
Doting dad Harry also opened up about how they chose their baby's beautiful, and very personal, name.
"When we realised Becky had won her medals in summer, that we got married in summer, and that our baby was born in summer, it made perfect sense to name her after our favourite time of year," he explained.
