Fearne Cotton gives birth to second baby and reveals name on Twitter

September 9, 2015

Fearne Cotton is now the mother of a beautiful baby girl. The television presenter and her husband Jesse Wood announced their wonderful news on Twitter, saying: "Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning."

The name Krissy will be a fitting tribute for Jesse's late mother Krissy Findlay, who passed away in June 2005.

Hopefully, the name finds approval with Fearne and Jesse's two-year-old son Rex even though it is not the one he had in mind. When the blonde beauty asked for ideas recently, her little boy gave the name of one of his favourite characters.

"Me – 'what do you want to call the baby when it's born Rex?' Rex – 'Bob the builder baby'," she tweeted.

As well as Rex, Jesse has two children named Arthur, 12, and Lola, eight, from his previous marriage.

Sharing the news of the pregnancy in February the bubbly presenter said she felt "extremely blessed and happy that Rex will be a big brother". She chose not to find out the gender of her baby before the birth, telling HELLO! Online: "I'll be happy with either."

Little Honey's arrival comes one year after she and Jesse tied the knot in a romantic ceremony attended by numerous celebrities including the groom's father Ronnie Wood, stepmother Jo Wood and her best friend Holly Willoughby.

The 33-year-old decided to take time out from her career ahead of the baby's arrival, shocking fans by quitting her Radio One show after ten years. Fearne revealed in June that she isn't putting any pressure on herself to return to work too soon following her maternity leave.

"I've always had a plan, always known either 'that's what I want to do' or I've been doing it," she told Red magazine. "But having a baby gave me a lioness confidence and complete shift about how I looked at the business. I didn't take it as seriously and I wasn't as obsessed."

She added: "If an amazing opportunity came in, then I would do it. But if there wasn't anything really grabbing me, I would be very content being at home with the kids."
