Mo Farah and his wife Tania have added to their winning team with the birth of a bouncing baby boy. Their son was born on 12 October, the Olympic hero exclusively announced to HELLO!

"It's a boy! So happy and excited to introduce the new man of the house to everyone! Mum and baby doing well and the girls are absolutely buzzing to meet their new baby brother! Thanks to everyone for all the kind messages and good wishes!" Mo, 32, wrote in a statement.

The couple are already proud parents to three-year-old twin girls, Aisha and Amani, as well as Rhianna from his wife's previous relationship.

"So happy and excited to introduce the new man of the house to everyone!" Mo told HELLO!

It was only in August that Tania revealed the news of her latest pregnancy via a picture on Instagram, which was later reposted by the professional athlete.

In an announcement greeted with excitement by the couple's followers, she had written: "Gained a bit of weight this summer! Looking forward to the next one. #Farahbabyontheway."

When the twins were born just after the 2012 London Olympics, Mo was "bouncing off the walls" with happiness, revealed Tania. He cut the umbilical cord and was the first to hold them.

His heavily pregnant wife provided some of the most memorable scenes of London 2012 when she and Rhianna, then seven, went on to the track to celebrate with their golden guy after his 10,000m win.

The euphoria is a deserved reward for the challenges of raising children while their father is travelling so much for his track career. Tania has said that the gold medallist always makes time to Skype them despite time differences of up to 11 hours.

His devotion hasn't gone unnoticed by his fans either. Mo was delighted in 2013 when he was voted Celebrity Dad of the Year.

He said of the accolade: "I train to be an athlete but there is no training to be a dad and I'm learning all the time.

"This award shows I must doing something right, which is a real confidence boost!"

Look out for the first exclusive pictures of their beautiful baby boy, coming soon in HELLO!
