Less than a week after announcing her pregnancy, Chrissy Teigen has posted her first baby bump photo on Instagram. The mum-to-be showed off her changing body shape in a selfie, joking about the size of her growing bump.
"Somebody is early to the party," wrote Chrissy, 29, alongside a host of frowning emoji faces.
The striking model, who is expecting her first baby with husband John Legend, received a flurry of congratulatory posts and, unsurprisingly, endless questions about her pregnancy.
Chrissy Teigen announced her first pregnancy last week
Chrissy was quick to shut down rumours that she was expecting twins or even triplets, clarifying on Twitter: "I did IVF. One at a time. It isn't twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus!"
"Please stop. I put one embryo in," she added. "I have ultrasounds every few days. I didn't announce at a week."
"Good thing I am unoffendable or this would be a rough few months," she wrote again on Twitter.
The model, who hit the red carpet just one day after announcing her pregnancy, maintained her sense of humour, posting: "It's my own karma! I love bumps so I loved saying how round/big/beautiful they are on others. Don't worry, friends."
Chrissy, 29, admitted that she and husband John Legend have struggled to conceive
Chrissy and her husband John, 36, used Instagram to announce their baby news last week, and both shared the same photo of the All of Me singer touching his wife's tiny bump.
"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family," Chrissy wrote.
"We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx."
"We would have had five, six [babies], years ago if it happened," said Chrissy
The following day Chrissy stepped out to attend the La Mer Celebration of an Icon event in Hollywood. The mum-to-be glowed in a fitted white ankle-length dress, which just about showed a hint of a bump.
The news comes just weeks after Chrissy openly admitted that she and John had struggled to conceive.
"We would have had five, six [babies], years ago if it happened. But, my gosh, it's been a process," she said on daytime talk show FABlife. "We've seen fertility doctors and once you open up about those things to other people you learn that a lot of other people in your life are seeing those people and they have this shame about it."
