It will be the first child for Rose and Boardwalk Empire actor Bobby, who have been dating since 2012. Although the couple have starred in three films together – Adult Beginners, Annie and Spy – they have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye and didn't announce their relationship until 2013.

Bobby, 45, confirmed their relationship status during his Emmys speech that year, when he gave a special mention to Rose.

He said: "And I want to thank the love of my life, Rose."

The 36-year-old has since said she's "not naturally that much of a romantic person", as she opened up about her life with Bobby in May 2014.

"I'm not a good cook, but seeing someone enjoy what you've made is so satisfying," Rose told ELLE Canada as she described a perfect Saturday evening with her partner, adding that she's "trying to get better at romance".

"To be honest, I'm not naturally that much of a romantic person – Australians don't like making a fuss," Rose admitted. "I have trouble with things that feel very manufactured, like Valentine's Day."

It is not known when Rose and Bobby's baby is due, but the actress shows no signs of slowing down during her pregnancy. The actress is currently filming Bad Neighbours 2 with Zac Efron and Seth Rogen, while Bobby is set to appear in television series Vinyl in 2016.
