She was accompanied to the event by her husband Laurence, the editor of Nikon Pro magazine. The sweet couple tied the knot in London in private after a whirlwind six month romance, and Suranne shared their excitement at welcoming their first child. "We have been married nearly a year and a half now and what a wonderful way to kind of move our marriage on," she told the Mirror. "We're dying to celebrate the new arrival. "Suranne's pregnancy wasn't the only cause for celebration; she won the award for Best Drama Performance for Doctor Foster, and the BBC series was also named Best New Drama. The first series of the show told the story of Doctor Gemma Foster as she discovers that her husband Simon is cheating on her with a younger woman. It was recently commissioned for a second series, and Suranne has confirmed that most of the original cast are coming back. "I can't say much, only that most of the original cast are returning. It's not going to be a whole new ball game, it's a continuation of Gemma and Simon's story, but it's a different stage in their life," she told the TV Times."It was so successful, I just wondered what the hook would be to keep people coming back to this relationship. Then I went out for dinner with (writer) Mike and the team and they told me what they had planned. I thought it sounded great, and actually like something we haven't explored in a couple before."
