Sam Faiers continues to praise boyfriend Paul

February 8, 2016

Sam Fraiers' boyfriend Paul Knightley received criticism when their show The Baby Diaries aired on Sunday night, with critics claiming that Paul and his mother shared a "strange" relationship, but the new mother was quick to defend her man. The reality TV star took to social media to let critics know that "it's just a tv show edited & made for good viewing."

Critics commented on Paul and his mother Gaynor's relationship – who also featured in the one-off reality show. In one scene Paul can be seen kissing his mum on the lips as they discuss him becoming a parent, prompting many fans on Twitter to comment about their relationship.

Sam defended her boyfriend Paul

"Just watched the Sam Faiers programme. Her boyfriend and his mother are creepy… Strange relationship," wrote one. Another commented: "Sam Faiers boyfriend awkward kiss with his MUM!!! Did anyone else see this?"

However, the TOWIE star came to her partner's defence with a touching photo showing her man and their baby son, Paul asleep.

"wow Paul really is getting some stick. I wish people wouldn't look into it so much. It's just a tv show edited & made for good viewing. Yes he fell asleep reading baby books, didn't attend yoga & no he doesn't cook but he is the most caring loving man I know. & the best daddy to baby Paul. Also I'd like to add... This is then man who got me better from Crohn's disease. Months of studying and researching to find me alternative natural medication. He's my hero . xxx," Sam wrote alongside the Instagram snap.

The couple welcomed baby Paul in December

It is not the first time the new mum has used social media to defend herself and Paul from criticism in recent weeks. Sam also spoke out after some unkind fans criticised their decision to name their son Paul Tony after his father and uncle.

Sam is dismissing all negativity in the media and throwing herself into motherhood and her growing family. The 25-year-old has been sharing a number of photos of her newborn online, including a sweet montage of images to mark her son's one-month birthday at the end of January.
