Tyra Banks shares first photo of her newborn son

Tyra Banks has given the first glimpse of her newborn baby boy, just weeks after he was born via gestational surrogate. Little York Banks Asla can been seen swaddled and cuddled up to his mother in a beautiful new photo posted on Tyra's Instagram page on Sunday."This is the Happiest Valentine's Day of my life," the 42-year-old captioned the picture. "York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love."

Tyra and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, struggled to conceive before deciding to use a surrogate. She proudly announced the arrival of their "miracle baby" in January. "The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," she wrote alongside a photo of a newborn hat. "He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. "As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

The America's Next Top Model host has spoken in the past about her infertility struggles and has revealed that she previously underwent IVF procedures in the hopes of conceiving.Speaking to People shortly after York's arrival, she said: "The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I've shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father Erik. "As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who continue to struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms."
