Kevin and Danielle Jonas reveal their baby's gender

June 28, 2016

Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle have revealed that they are expecting a second daughter. The couple shared the news on their Instagram accounts, posting a collage of their firstborn, two-year-old Alena, holding a heart-shaped pink balloon that reads 'Baby Girl'. "We're having a GIRL!!!!!!" Kevin, 28, captioned the sweet photograph.

The happy couple announced on 25 April that they are expecting another child. "Prepping for baby number two! #babyjonas2," Kevin wrote alongside a funny snapshot showing him reading a baby book in bed, while pregnant Danielle, 29, lies next to him, surrounded by comfort food.

Just last month, Kevin admitted that he was hoping for another little girl during an interview on the SiriusXM radio show Nigel Barker's Gentleman’' Code. "I've actually always wanted two girls," he said. "I just want a healthy baby, to clarify. I want healthy children. But I've always wanted two kids that were both girls, and my wife was like, 'Why?' I'm like, 'Because I've been around boys so much my entire life that I want to be surrounded by girls.'"

Kevin and Danielle became first-time parents back in February 2014 when they welcomed little Alena. Shortly after announcing her second pregnancy, proud mum Danielle shared a photo of the toddler smiling and wearing a 'Big Sister' top, writing alongside: "Someone is happy."

The couple are already parents to two-year-old Alena

Kevin and Danielle first met in 2007 while they were both on holiday in the Bahamas with their families. After two years of dating, they tied the knot on 19 December, at Oheka Castle in Long Island, with Kevin's younger brothers Joe and Nick Jonas both acting as his best men. Shortly afterwards, the happy newlyweds jetted off for a romantic honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas.
