It's been seven months since Patrick Kielty became a first-time father, and he has admitted that the experience came as a "bit of a shock". Patrick, 45, and his wife Cat Deeley, 39, welcomed son Milo back in January, and on Tuesday he opened up about his baby boy during an appearance on This Morning.
"It's been a bit of a shock, but it's the real world," he told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, before joking: "Milo is now seven months, he is almost looking after himself, which is good!"

The star also revealed he is a hands-on parent, and is more than happy to get stuck in when it comes to caring for Milo. "I'm doing all of that. The poop, the nappies, all of it. The bottles and all of that stuff," he said.
But he did share one concern for his young son – that he will pick up an American accent. Patrick confirmed that Milo was born in the US, and when his hosts pointed out he could grow up speaking with a lilt, he replied: "Oh, don't say that! It's going to be weird!"
Patrick and Cat were friends for a decade before tying the knot
Patrick and Cat have kept Milo out of the spotlight ever since his birth, although proud mum Cat did share one photo on her Instagram page last week, showing the little boy sitting on a bed looking out of a window.
Milo is the first child for both Cat and Patrick. The private couple were friends for more than a decade before they tied the knot in 2012, and Patrick said everything worked out exactly as it should.
"If we had got together at the start, we could have got on each other's nerves," said the Irish comedian, who met Cat while presenting Fame Academy back in 2002. "All things came at the right time. I'm not sure we would be together if we had got together at the start."
