Jools Oliver shares sweet snap of daughter Petal bathing baby River Rocket

September 2, 2016

Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools have been receiving lots of help in looking after their baby boy River Rocket – no more so than from their youngest daughter Petal. The six-year-old appears to dote on her baby brother judging by the photos shared by her mum on Instagram, who revealed that Petal had helped to bathe the three-week-old.

"I have the cutest little side kick! xxx," Jools captioned a photo showing Petal carefully washing River, who lies in a baby bath while gazing up at the camera.

It is not the first time Jools has praised Petal Blossom Rainbow, six, for all of her support in the past few weeks. She previously shared a photo of her daughter on social media, telling fans: "By my side on every nappy change! xxx."

And it seems Jools and Jamie's youngest daughter is more than happy to be so involved, as her proud mum had previously posted another snap of her posing happily with the new baby, simply captioned with two love heart emojis.

Jamie and Jools welcomed their baby boy on 7 August and revealed his unusual name two week later, sharing a photo of a piece of nursery wall art that read: "Dream Big River." The moniker, which was predicted by HELLO! Online hours earlier, is in keeping with the couple's trend of giving their children unusual names, and has already proven to be a big hit with their fans.

'River' is particular significant for celebrity chef Jamie, 41. He was first noticed by the BBC while working as a sous chef in the acclaimed River Café in Fulham back in 1997.

He made an unscripted appearance in a documentary about the Italian restaurant, which led to him being given his own BBC show, The Naked Chef, two years later.
