'I feel great!' Alex Jones opens up about pregnancy

Alex Jones has opened up about her pregnancy so far, revealing that she hasn't suffered from any morning sickness. The star announced that she and her husband Charlie Thomson were expecting their first child together on social media on Thursday.

Joking about hiding her pregnancy while hosting The One Show, while presenting the show the 39-year-old said: "Lots of you had guessed – I'd been trying to breathe in, but now the secret's out I can relax. And breathe out!

"I've had no sickness and no tiredness. I feel great." 

Alex announced the news on her Instagram page after sharing a snap of a baby grow with 'Coming Soon' written on the front. She captioned the snap: "Charlie and I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a little baby in the new year. Absolutely delighted and feel very lucky that we're about to become parents.#andbreatheout #newbabyalert."

She also announced the news on Twitter, then thanked fans after they offered their congratulations, writing: "Overwhelmed by all your messages of congratulations and love. Such a warm feeling. A huge thank you from us both. Diolch. On cloud 9! Xx"

Alex announced the news with a sweet snap of a baby grow

The happy news comes shortly after Alex filmed a documentary on fertility, revealing her own concerns that she left having children until too late in life, especially after she discovered that her mother went through the menopause at the early age of 43.

At the time, she said: "That was a shock and nonetheless I have a five year window potentially to get this done.

"As most girls I spent all of my teenage years, twenties, thirties, doing everything I could to avoid getting pregnant and then… a day arrives and then you go 'gosh, maybe we should have a baby'."
