The Say You Love Me singer took to Twitter and Instagram to announce the happy news and gave a sweet shout out to her midwife.

Jessie, 31, has yet to share a photo of her newborn daughter although fans will no doubt be waiting to catch a glimpse of the little girl.

The birth comes at a particularly special time for Jessie and her personal trainer husband Sam. The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary just one week before they welcomed their baby.

Jessie shared a touching throwback photo from the big day, which took place on the Greek island of Skopelos – the same place where Sam proposed and where romcom Mamma Mia! was filmed.

The singer-songwriter announced her pregnancy in April, showing off her small bump in a tight-fitting dress and posing side-on. Jessie wrote on Instagram: "Dropping this year, and it's not the album X."

A couple of weeks ago she also shared a picture of her newly built crib, with her husband Sam posing in the background.

The couple also went to Glastonbury but eight month pregnant Jessie couldn't stay for the whole time. She posted a selfie with Sam, joking: "The face of someone who resents his wife for calling time on Glasto 2016."
