September 23, 2016

Congratulations to Zoe Hardman and her boyfriend Paul Doran Jones!

The TV presenter and the rugby union player have welcomed their first child together - a beautiful baby girl.

Zoe, 33, took to Twitter and Instagram to announce the safe arrival of her bundle of joy. "On Monday evening our beautiful little girl arrived into the world...now I know what perfection is. We love you so much Little L," she wrote, sharing a photo of her newborn daughter's little hand.

"A week before her due date, just desperate to get out into the world, there she was!" the delighted new mum told HELLO! exclusively. "It's been the best experience of our lives and we're both completely blown away with love. She's such a little character already, strong, brave and loves a cuddle!"

Zoe Hardman and Paul Doran Jones have welcomed their first baby

Zoe announced her first pregnancy in an exclusive photoshoot with HELLO! magazine in April.

"It's everything I could have hoped for times about ten," Zoe said. "I'm watching my body change daily, which is weird and wonderful. I've never felt more beautiful, actually. I'm not thinking about the birth, I'm not thinking about getting the nursery ready, I'm literally just thinking, 'Today is such a magical day.'"

In the interview, the couple also talked about their whirlwind romance, which began in spring last year.

"She shunned me for the first few attempts but I finally got a date just over a year ago," admitted Paul. "And the rest is history. We haven't looked back. For me, I knew the minute I first saw her, but she just needed a little nudge."

The couple dote on Paul's daughter Isla, from his previous relationship. "My daughter's the best thing that's happened to me – we're so close," said Paul. "One of the amazing things about Zoe is how close she is with Isla, too. Seeing Zoe around my daughter just confirmed everything for me."

The couple discussed trying for a baby after Zoe discovered that she had an extremely low egg count. Early menopause runs in the family and sadly Zoe's sister Kathryn is unable to conceive naturally.

She admitted that telling her sister she was pregnant was bittersweet, but as Kathryn said during their joint appearance on This Morning: "It's been one of the toughest years of my life but I couldn't be more thrilled Zoe is expecting a baby."
