Viewers have praised Sam Faiers for her decision to breastfeed her baby son Paul during a live appearance on This Morning. The star, who was there to promote her new reality show The Mummy Diaries, had been stuck in traffic on the way to the studios, and chose to feed her child under a blanket while she spoke to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

"Good for you @thismorning showing breastfeeding on the television and good for Sam Faiers! What a beautiful little boy," one fan wrote on Twitter. Another added: "@SamanthaFaiers so much respect for Sam feeding live on This Morning."

At the start of the interview, Phillip confirmed to viewers that it was Sam's decision to keep her 10-month-old son covered up while she was feeding him. Sam, 25, had already missed her original slot on the show, and was seen nursing Paul before handing him over to Holly as she buttoned up her shirt.

During her appearance on the show, the mum-of-one revealed that she and partner Paul Knightley would love to have a big family. "Paul and I want five children," she said. "We don't want too long a gap between babies, but I want to wait until we are married."

The former TOWIE star also confirmed that the couple are looking to move out of Essex. "We haven't found anywhere yet," she said. "We've been looking in the Surrey area. I will miss living so close to my mum and sister but it's not too far away."

Sam recently spoke to HELLO! Online about her experience of motherhood, and confided that for the first six weeks of Paul's life she didn't leave the house.

"I was just breastfeeding, breastfeeding, getting to know how it works," she said. "I've had green things on my bra, your hair is a mess, you've got no makeup on, you're tired…"

The star also revealed that Paul recently hit a few major milestones: "He's crawling, he's cut his top teeth and bottom, he says Mum and Dad.  I think the next thing is walking. He's trying to walk, he holds on to everything, he's really trying so I think that's the next big thing. He's very adventurous!"
