Sam Faiers has a friend in Jacqueline Jossa. The EastEnders star took to Instagram this week to defend Sam after she faced criticism for posting a photograph of her breastfeeding her son. Sam had shared a snapshot showing her nursing her 11-month-old baby Paul, with her niece Nelly sat on her lap.  Alongside she wrote: "Love my family missed my sister and nelly soo much. #madhouse #family #love #feedingtime xxx."

While most of Sam's fans posted positive comments, some unkind followers accused the star of "attention seeking" – prompting Jacqueline to step in.

"I don't understand why you people follow her if you don't want to see her breastfeeding she's very open and you must know she posts whatever she wants, if it makes you uncomfortable just unfollow," wrote the 24-year-old star, who is a mum to Ella, 21 months, with Dan Osborne.

"Don't write stupid comments. I for one follow because her pictures are beautiful and so is breastfeeding, shouldn't be a big issue, it's all natural. It's life. If you don't like it, remove yourself. X lovely pic @samanthafaiers1 x."

It comes one month after Sam made headlines for her decision to breastfeed little Paul during a live appearance on This Morning. The Mummy Diaries star had been stuck in traffic on the way to the ITV studios, and chose to feed her son under a blanket while she spoke to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Viewers took to Twitter in droves to praise the 25-year-old. "Good for you @thismorning showing breastfeeding on the television and good for Sam Faiers! What a beautiful little boy," one fan wrote on Twitter. Another added: "@SamanthaFaiers so much respect for Sam feeding live on This Morning."
