Shayne Ward and his girlfriend Sophie Austin have welcomed their first child together – a baby girl who they have named Willow May Ward.
The proud new parents shared the news on social media. The Coronation Street actor tweeted a note which read: "Proud to share our incredible news. Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl. We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts. Our world. Willow May Ward."

Well-wishers were quick to send their congratulations, with Shayne's Corrie co-star Richard Hawley writing: "Amazing!! Congratulations! So happy for you all! Welcome Willow! Lots and lots of love! X." Another Corrie co-star, Lisa George, added: "I am over the moon for you both! You will be amazing parents! Welcome to the world Willow. Much love." Shayne then added: "Thank you all so much for the beautiful messages. Mummy & baby are doing great. Right. Time to do my Fatherly duties #DiaperchangeKing." Sophie also posted a sweet snap of a tiny baby hand on Instagram, simply captioning the sweet photo: "Complete," accompanied by a love heart emoji.
The couple announced that they were expecting their first baby together back in August just a few months after they went public with their relationship in March. At the time, the former X Factor winner tweeted: "After much speculation I'm overjoyed to announce that @sophieaustin1 and I are expecting our first child. #blessed." An insider spoke about the couple's news, telling The Sun: "Sophie and Shayne have been keeping the exciting news to themselves to enjoy the moment in private. But mum and baby are doing amazing and they’ve started telling their nearest and dearest."
