The new addition is the musician's first baby with Melanie. Sir Mick is already a father to Karis Hunt Jagger, 45, from his relationship with Marsha Hunt and Jade Jagger, 44, with his ex-wife Bianca. The rock star had four children with his ex-partner Jerry Hall – Elizabeth, 32, James, 30, Georgia, 24, and 19-year-old Gabriel. He also has a son Lucas, 17, following a brief romance with Luciana Gimenez; their liaison ended Mick's 22-year relationship with Jerry, who is now married to Rupert Murdoch.

From 2001 until 2014, Mick was in a long-term partnership with fashion designer L'Wren Scott, although the pair did not have any children together. L'Wren tragically took her own life in March 2014.
In July it was confirmed Mick is expecting his eighth child. A source at the time told The Sun: "This is great news. It will be Mick's eighth child and nothing fazes him. He's been incredibly supportive. She is very bright, intelligent, sparky and has her own ideas about how she wants to lead her life. She knows what a great relationship Mick has with all of his children and can't wait for him to be a dad again. They are taking the news in their stride."
