Nick and Vanessa Lachey have had an extra special Christmas thanks to the arrival of their third child – a bouncing baby boy! The happy couple took to social media to announce the news, revealing that they have named their newborn son Phoenix Robert Lachey.

Nick and Vanessa both shared a photo of little Phoenix's hand holding one of Vanessa's fingers, captioning the post: "It's a very Merry Christmas indeed! We had our Christmas Miracle. Phoenix Robert Lachey decided to show up early and was born on Christmas Eve. Mommy, Daddy, Camden & Brooklyn LOVE you very much!" Fans were quick to congratulate the couple, with one writing: "Awe congrats! What a wonderful Christmas gift! So glad to hear you and little P are doing well. Sending hugs and positive energy your way," while another added: "Congratulations! Hope you both are doing well. Beautiful family."

Nick and Vanessa shared the beautiful snap on Instagram

The proud parents, who tied the knot back in July 2011 in a beautiful ceremony on Richard Branson's Necker Island, already share two children together – son Camden, four, and one-year-old daughter, Brooklyn. They have been sharing snaps and videos with their fans throughout Vanessa's third pregnancy. They first announced the news that they were expecting a new arrival in a sweet Instagram snap which shows the family standing outside their new home with the caption reading: "Newest Lachey arriving Spring 2017," and "We got a new crib! Now we need a new crib!" written across the screen. In another adorable video, Vanessa captures Nick's hilarious reaction after surprising him with the gender of their third child by giving him a blue balloon. In the video, Nick laughs saying "I knew you knew" before kissing her.
