Huge congratulations to Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his partner Mara Lane! The couple have welcomed their first baby together, it has been reported. According to E! News, Mara gave birth shortly before Christmas to a little boy named Wolf. It is also believed that the birth was at home and their child was delivered by a midwife.

It's only been a matter of weeks since the Tudors star's partner confirmed the pregnancy with a series of beautiful Instagram pictures. One image saw Mara compare her blossoming bump to Santa Claus' belly in a Christmas-themed photoshoot. She simply captioned the picture with, "#IncomingPackage best present," alongside the hashtags, #ThankYouLord and #SantaBelly.

In another post, Mara told her followers she was "prego". She wrote in the caption: "Our other official prego wego dress. Found in #Amsterdam #Noordermarkt for 15 euros. Every other day I dunno as I have other dresses but Baby likes these ones… Angel alien baby about to rock my world I already know. I'm thankful for my soon to be best teacher and friend."

Last year, the couple - who have been together since 2013 - sparked speculation that they have secretly got married after Mara - who is an American actress and producer - changed her name on her Instagram profile to Mara & Toco Lane Rhys Meyers.

Fans of Hollywood star Jonathan will be especially pleased to hear his happy news. The 39-year-old is currently in recovery after years of battling alcohol addiction. It is thought that his fiancée has significantly helped the star on his journey - Jonathan had been sober for four years before suffering a relapse last year, he later apologised to fans through Mara's Instagram account.
